Curriculum Philosophy Statement

At Child’s Time, we believe that every child is a capable, curious, and creative thinker who learns best through hands-on experiences and meaningful connections. Our entire philosophy comes to life through our in-house developed IGNITE curriculum - Inspired, Goal-Oriented, Nurturing, Inclusive, Tangible, and Effective, which is at the very heart of our approach. By blending child-led inquiry, active exploration, and Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP), IGNITE ensures that children have the freedom to explore, the guidance to thrive, and the opportunities to develop essential critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

Philosophy Statement

We begin by creating a warm and inclusive community, celebrating each child’s unique background, abilities, and perspectives. In our classrooms, children are encouraged to explore their curiosity without fear of making mistakes. Instead, every question becomes a chance to learn, and every misstep becomes a stepping stone toward greater understanding. We also recognize that families are a child’s first and most important teachers, so we collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and community partners. By working together, we nurture each child’s physical, emotional, and social needs, ensuring that no aspect of their growth is overlooked.

Through careful observation and documentation, our educators continuously adapt the IGNITE curriculum to meet the evolving interests and developmental milestones of every learner. This purposeful approach keeps children engaged, allows them to build upon their discoveries, and fosters deep, joyful learning experiences. By weaving inquiry-based activities and playful exploration into our lessons, we inspire children to think critically, ask questions, and confidently find creative solutions.

Ultimately, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism, staying informed through research, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development. We take pride in offering an environment where children’s potential shines, curiosity flourishes, and the learning journey remains a vibrant, joyful adventure. Through IGNITE and our unwavering commitment to Developmentally Appropriate Practice, we bring our vision of nurturing, inclusive, and meaningful early education to life every day at Child’s Time
